Do I need a referral?

If you are consulting this practice as a private patient, you do not need a referral.  If you wish to claim Workcover, Veterans' Affairs, Enhanced Primary  Care or Third Party Insurance you will need a doctor's referral.

What should I wear?

It is important for the physiotherapists to be able to see the area that they are assessing so wearing clothes that allow this is preferable.  Often wearing a top and shorts or skirt is the easiest.  Always wear comfortable attire.

What should I bring to the visit?

If you have any Xrays or scan results relevant to your problem please bring them along. 

If you have a private health fund card, bring this along so you can do a direct health fund claim using our HICAPS system

How long does it take?

Allow at least 30 - 40 minutes for your visit. 

Does Medicare cover physiotherapy treatments?

Medicare does not cover private physiotherapy sessions.  Medicare only covers a proportion of the fees for clients who are eligible for the Enhanced Primary Care System.
